Prohibition and renewal of diving rights
Accumulating 16 points (10 points for new drivers), the driver is prohibited to drive for 1 year. The driver must hand over the driving licence to the CSDD within 20 days from the date of application of the ban, if it has not been confiscated by the police.
If the vehicle is driven during the prohibition, the term of the prohibition shall be extended in accordance with the period that has elapsed from the moment of application of the ban on exercising the right to drive a vehicle.
At the end of the term, to renew the driving licence, the driver must successfully pass the category B theoretical and driving test in the CSDD. If only category AM, A1, A2, A or B1 is marked on the driving licence, the driver must pass a theoretical and driving test corresponding to that category, but if only a TRAM or TROL category is marked on the driving licence, the driver must pass a theoretical test corresponding to that category.
For drivers with less than 2 years of experience, the status of the new driver is extended for another 1 year after the renewal of the driving licence.
If, within the framework of the demerit point system, a ban on the exercise of rights to drive has been applied to a person 2 times over a period of 10 years, the person shall lose the right to drive the vehicle. In this case, it is possible to obtain a driving licence not earlier than after 5 years, and to obtain a driving licence, all activities related to the first acquisition of a driving licence must be performed (driving school training, medical examination, CSDD test).
Tests can be taken at one of the CSDD customer centers, where driver licencing services are provided.
The fee for the theoretical test is 11,40 euros, for the driving test 44,60.
