Registration in e-CSDD

 

Receipt of the registration certificate

Application for the registration of the vessel and receipt of the registration certificate by mail or at any CSDD customer service centre may be completed electronically in e-CSDD, if the motor was purchased in Latvia from the manufacturer or its official representative in Latvia and the acceptance report has been completed in the CSDD register for the sale of the vessel.

This action can be performed by the acquirer (adult natural person or, in case of a legal entity, representative of this person, performing the action from the e-CSDD account of the legal entity).

e-CSDD service is available by using the Single Sign-On link and choosing the most appropriate authentication method – using your credit institution, e-signature smart card or electronic signature.

After authorisation, select Apply for a new registration certificate section in Vehicle operations section.

When completing the application, the acquirer indicates:

  • whether they want to receive stickers (also indicating the color of the stickers) or stencils for the state registration number assigned to the vessel, or if they refuse stickers and stencils. By refusing stickers and stencils, the owner of the vessel ensures the placement of the state registration number assigned to the vessel on the vessel;
  • desired method of receiving registration certificate and number stickers or stencils, if ordered.
  • at any CSDD customer service centre, where the document may be received by the owner upon presentation of an identity document, or any adult person upon presentation of an identity document and the QR code e-mailed to the owner by CSDD;
  • receive the document by mail to the specified address in Latvia. The document will be sent to the specified address in Latvia by ordinary mail without insurance.

Registration in e-CSDD may be completed if the following conditions are met:

  • the acquirer is one of the mentioned persons:
    • an adult natural person, if the CSDD register contains information about the valid identity document issued to the person in Latvia and the person has a declared place of residence in Latvia;
    • a company registered in Latvia, if its status allows for registration of a vehicle in its ownership (the company has not been liquidated, reorganised, its registration has not been cancelled, economic activities have not been suspended);
  • there is no registered prohibition to perform the respective registration activity (incl. owner’s prohibition).
