Renewal of a licence revoked for driving under the influence of alcohol

Driving under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants shall be awarded a maximum number of demerit points - 8. There is also a fine and revocation of the right to drive for up to 5 years, as well as an administrative penalty .

In order to renew a driving licence after revocation, an early medical examination must be taken, regardless of the category, and a category B theoretical and driving test must be passed and a behavioral correction program must be attended. In turn, if only category AM, A1, A2, A or B1 is marked on the driving licence, the person must pass the theoretical and driving test corresponding to the respective category, but if only the TRAM or TROL category is marked on the driving licence, the person must take the theoretical test corresponding to the relevant category.

Tests can be taken at one of the CSDD customer service centers, where driver licencing services are provided. A driving permit must be obtained before taking the driving test.

The group sessions of behavior correction programs are provided by physical or legal entities, which have confirmed to the selection committee established by the Minister of Transport their ability and experience to conduct such sessions.
