Types of permits
Types of “green” ECMT permits can be divided into two groups – permanent and annual.
Permanent:
- “Green” lorry ecology certificate;
- “Greener and safe” lorry ecology and safety certificate;
- “EURO III safe” lorry ecology and safety certificate;
- “EURO IV / 4 safe” lorry ecology and safety certificate;
- “EURO IV / 5 safe” lorry ecology and safety certificate;
- “EEV safe” lorry ecology and safety certificate;
- “EURO VI / 6 safe” lorry ecology and safety certificate;
- trailer (semi-trailer) safety certificate.
The permanent permits are issued for all the term of registration of a given vehicle in a given country. If a vehicle had “Green” ECMT permit in other country, once registered in Latvia, it will need to get “Green” ECMT permit in Latvia.
Annual:
- annual roadworthiness certificate is being issued at road worthiness testing stations for the term of up to 12 months (up to the term of validity of road worthiness test) upon presentation of respective ecology and safety certificate for lorry or safety certificate for trailer (semi-trailer).
