e-CSDD use terms and conditions
The vehicle can be removed from the register for alienation in Latvia using e-CSDD. This activity can be performed by the registered owner (both natural and legal persons).
The e-CSDD service is available by using the ‘Single application’ link and choosing the appropriate authentication method: via your credit institution, an E-signature smart card, or using your electronic signature.
Once you log in, in the ‘Operations with vehicles’ section, select ‘Deregistration for sale in Latvia (before sale)’, and perform the necessary steps there.
In e-CSDD vehicle cannot be removed from the register for alienation if:
- the vehicle has been removed from the register for export from Latvia, for removing from the register or the registration of the vehicle has been terminated by handing over the number plates;
- the vehicle has been excluded from the register because it has been registered abroad or during 3 years registration or technical inspection have not been performed;
- the vehicle has been imported and registered in Latvia temporarily (in the section “Notes” of the vehicle registration certificate there is an entry “Imported temporarily”);
- the vehicle has been handed over for sale to a vehicle sales company;
- the owner of the vehicle is a minor person;
- the vehicle is registered in joint ownership or possession;
- the vehicle has a registered ban for the performance of the relevant registration activities (incl. a ban on the owner, a commercial pledge);
- the identification number of the vehicle in the “VIN” section of the registration certificate is not indicated and the vehicle data verification has not been performed within a month;
- the vehicle is assigned a virtual license or virtual numbers;
- the vehicle has been marked for a change of ownership;
- the vehicle has been assigned taxi number plates;
- 3 number plates have been issued for the vehicle.
