Vehicle renewal at the CSDD customer service center
You can renew the vehicle in the register electronically by e-CSDD or by contacting any CSDD customer service center.
Renewing the vehicle in the CSDD customer service centre, the vehicle registration certificate need not be changed if the following conditions are attended:
- The vehicle was removed from the register after 01.01.2016 and no records were made at the opening of the registration certificate (the document is not returned);
- The data of the owner and the holder does not change in the vehicle registration certificate. If the holder of the vehicle registration certificate indicates a holder other than the owner of the vehicle, re-registration of the vehicle without changing the details of the holder on the registration certificate is only allowed in the presence of the vehicle owner and the registered holder or their authorized representatives (more: "Persons who may register a vehicle").
By renewing the vehicle in the CSDD customer service centre, the vehicle registration certificate must be changed in the following cases:
- If the vehicle was removed from the register till 01.01.2016 and it has been noted in the registration certificate, re-registration shall be made by changing the registration certificate to a new one;
- If the vehicle was removed from the register after 01.01.2016 and it was not noted in the registration certificate (the document is not returned) but the data of the vehicle, its owner or holder as specified in the vehicle registration certificate are changed.
Necessary documents
- vehicle registration certificate;
- passport or ID card of the person submitting the documents. A driver's license issued by the CSDD may be presented if the Population Register contains information of a valid passport or ID card.
The operation can be performed by the owner (possessor) or holder of the vehicle or a person authorized by them (more: "Persons who may register a vehicle").
In addition, if the vehicle is removed from the register, the vehicle is needed to be presented for Vehicle data verification.
