Option to order personalised number plate

General information

The vehicle owner can order personalised registration number with a combination of symbols according to the national standard. In this case, appropriate number plates will be issued to the vehicle owner. Such number plates will be assigned to a vehicle only if the required combination of number plate symbols has not been previously assigned to another vehicle.

To order personalised number plate, the owner of the vehicle or his / her authorized person must contact any CSDD customer service center, where an application for assignment of the number must be submitted. The decision on the allocation of an Individual license plate is taken within ten working days from the receipt of the Application. CSDD informs the person about the decision by telephone.

If a decision has been made to allow the assignment of a specific personalised number, the number plates will be manufactured within the following time limits after payment has been made:

• during the period while the documents for vehicle registration are formed, if the number plates are ordered at the CSDD Riga customer service center;
• within 30 days after payment for ordering number plates, if the number plates are ordered in another CSDD customer service center.
