Monthly rates
A vehicle registered for the first time after 1 January 2009 whose registration certificate contains information about the maximum engine power is taxed according to its maximum engine power in kilowatts (kW) as follows:

| 131–150 | EUR 0.35 per kW |
| 151–200 | EUR 0.50 per kW |
| over 200 | EUR 0.70 per kW |
For vehicles registered for the first time before 1 January 2009, the tax rate is EUR 60.00 per month.
The tax rate for electric cars is EUR 15.00 per month.
The tax rate for hybrid cars that can be charged with electric power via a connection to an external source of electricity is EUR 25.00 per month.
