Information for craft manufacturers and their official representatives

On 01.05.2017. amendments to Cabinet Regulation No. 213 of 25 March 2008 “Procedure for Registration of Vessels to be Registered with the Road Traffic Safety Directorate” shall enter into force. In accordance with these changes, manufacturers of small craft or its engine and their official representatives in Latvia, starting from 01.05.2017. acceptance and transfer deeds must be prepared and printed from the State Register of Vehicles and their Drivers.

Taking into account the changes mentioned, merchants who are official representatives in Latvia need to enter into cooperation agreements with the CSDD in order to agree on the procedure for using the register. After concluding the co-operation agreement, it will be possible to draw up an acceptance-transfer deed for the sale of the vessel or its engine in the State Register of Vehicles and their Drivers.
