Training for teachers and instructors

Acquisition of the qualification of road traffic regulations teachers and driving training instructors is regulated by Cabinet Regulation No. 358 of 13 April 2010 "Regulations on Driver Training and Driver Training Programs".

During the training it is necessary to learn several topics - Road traffic regulations, road traffic safety, driver training methodology, practical pedagogy in driver training, driving lessons for instructor applicants, etc. The topics of the relevant training programs are specified in Annex 5 to the said Regulations.

During the studies, homework is periodically assigned and the knowledge of the acquired topics is tested. If the course has been taken, homework has been passed and a test has been passed, the person is admitted to official exams.

The official exam takes place at the CSDD and consists of a theoretical and practical part (instructors).

The training is provided by the Association "Mobilitātes izglītības un tehnoloģiju attīstības centrs". The training takes place in Riga, in the study premises of Riga Technical University.
