Renewal of the vessel removed from the register at the customer service center

The vessel can be restored to the register by contacting any CSDD customer service center or electronically in e-CSDD (see the section "Removing the vessel from the register electronically in e-CSDD").

When renewing a vessel in the register in the CSDD customer service center, the vessel registration certificate need not be changed if the following conditions are met:

• the vessel has been removed from the register after 01.01.2016 and no entries have been made in the opening of the registration certificate (the document has not been returned);
• the data on the owner and holder specified in the registration certificate of the vessel do not change. If the registration certificate indicates a holder other than the owner of the vessel, re-registration of the vessel without changing the details of the holder on the registration certificate is only allowed in the presence of the vessel owner and the registered holder or their authorized representatives (see " Persons, who can submit documents for the registration of the vessel and its engines ”).

When renewing a vessel in the register in the CSDD customer service center, the vessel registration certificate must be changed in the following cases:

• if the vessel has been removed from the register by 22.12.2016 and an entry has been made in the opening of the registration certificate;
• if the vessel has been removed from the register after 22.12.2016 and no entries have been made in the opening of the registration certificate (the document has not been returned), but the data specified in the vessel registration certificate regarding the vessel, its owner or holder changes.

Necessary documents

• Certificate of vessel data verification. If the applicant is satisfied that the vessel data are correct, the data verification may be waived. The data verification is mandatory if:
              - the vessel does not have an identification number;
              - until 1 February 2004 for a jet ski, cutter or motorboat registered in Latvia;
• vessel registration certificate;
• an identity document (personal passport, identity card, driving license issued by the CSDD or driving permit) for a person who performs an activity. The operation can be performed by the owner of the vessel or his authorized person (see section " Persons who can submit documents for registration of the vessel and its engines ").
