Deregistration of the vessel for export from Latvia

General information

If the vessel is intended to be exported from Latvia for re-registration or alienation in another country, it must be removed from the register for export from Latvia. This operation can be performed in any CSDD customer service center.

As of 23.12.2016, if a vessel is removed from the register for export to a Member State of the European Union, no entry shall be made in the registration certificate of the vessel regarding the removal from the register. Only a note is made in the State Register of Vehicles and their Drivers.

If the vehicle is exported to a country that is not a member state of the European Union, or the owner of the vehicle does not know to which country the vehicle will be exported, the section of the registration certificate shall state "Removed from the register for export from the Republic of Latvia".
