Deregistration of a vessel for the change of ownership in Latvia using e-CSDD

Conditions for using e-CSDD

From 23.12.2016, the vessel e-CSDD can be removed from the register for alienation in Latvia or extend the term for participation in road traffic. These activities can be performed by the registered owner (both natural and legal persons).

The e-CSDD service is available using the “Single Application” link and choosing the most appropriate type of authentication - using your credit institution, E-signature smart card or electronic signature.

After authorization, in the section “Operations with vehicles” select “Removal of the vehicle from the register for alienation in the Republic of Latvia”, where the necessary actions are performed.

In e-CSDD vessel may not be removed from the register for alienation if:

• the vessel has been removed from the register for export from Latvia or for write-off;
• the vessel does not have an identification number;
• a jet ski, cutter or motorboat registered in Latvia until 1 February 2004;
• the owner of the vessel is a minor;
• the vessel is registered in joint ownership or possession;
• the vessel has a registered prohibition to perform the relevant registration activities (incl. Prohibition of the owner, commercial pledge);
• a mark has previously been registered in the register and the registration has not been completed.
