Description of the number plates

General information

Registering a vehicle, it is assigned a state registration number, and corresponding number plates are issued. 

If the vehicle is fitted with a device intended for the carriage of bicycles or additional luggage and this device or the luggage carried by it obscures the number plate affixed to the vehicle, the vehicle may be additionally assigned a number plate bearing an identical combination of symbols if the device manufacturer provides space for the number plate (more: "Option to get a third number plate for a device for transporting bicycles and luggage").

Several vehicles are not assigned state registration number with the same combination of letters and numbers simultaneously. 

In general order the number plates are assigned sequentially from the list available at the relevant CSDD customer service center. 

State number plates are manufactured in accordance with the rules specified in the standard LVS 20: 2009 "State registration plates of vehicles".
