Acquiring commercial licence plates

Procedure

In order to receive trade number plates, the representative of the merchant in the CSDD:

  • present the identity document of the recipient (personal passport, identity card or driving license issued by the CSDD);
  • submit a power of attorney issued by the trading company for the receipt of trade numbers. The power of attorney need not be submitted if the CSDD has information from the Register of Enterprises regarding the right of this person to represent the merchant or the relevant authorization has been submitted to the CSDD in advance and it is valid. In the case of an authorization, one of the following authorizations shall be valid:
    • a written power of attorney drawn up by the trading company, which has been certified by the person entitled to sign on behalf of the company;
    • Authorization mark issued in the CSDD register (details: Possibility to make an authorization mark in the CSDD customer service center or e-CSDD ). In this case, the type of authorization “Perform all registration activities except deregistration and alienation” or “Perform all types of registration activities, including any type of deregistration and alienation”;
    • a written and notarised power of attorney of the trading company;
  • transfer previously issued trade number plates to the CSDD, the validity of which has expired.
