Necessary documents for registration at customer service centre

  • Certificate of engine data verification . A statement regarding the engine data verification need not be submitted if the outboard engine has been purchased from the manufacturer or official representative in Latvia for which information is available in the register (technical data of the ship's outboard engine registration and ownership document - acceptance and transfer deed);
  • any of the following documents:
    • a registration document issued by a foreign state;
    • a document certifying the technical data and ownership rights of the outboard engine of the vessel issued by the official representative in Latvia - a deed of acceptance and transfer;
    • a technical certificate of the engine records and a document certifying the ownership rights issued by the engine manufacturer or its official representative;
    • a document certifying the right of ownership issued abroad, in which the technical data of the engine registration are indicated, if a used engine has been purchased;
  • If the engine is registered to a person who is not mentioned in the above-mentioned documents - a document certifying the right of ownership issued abroad or in the customs zone or a contract certified by a sworn notary or another person specified in Section 1474 of the Civil Law.
  • personal identification document (personal passport, identity card, driving license issued by the CSDD or driving permit). The action can be performed by the owner of the vessel or his authorized person (more: Persons who may register a vessel).
  • a copy of the document certifying the status of a legal person, presenting the original, if the owner of the engine is a legal person. The document does not have to be submitted if the legal person is registered in the Register of Enterprises or its legal status is determined by law. When registering an engine in the ownership of a foreign legal person, a notarised document certifying the status of the legal person shall be submitted.
