Certificates for oversize and overweight loads

Obtaining the certificate

In order to obtain the certificate the vehicle or the combination of vehicles must comply with the following requirements:

  • the vehicle or the combination is designed to transport lumber or cutter chips or agricultural products;
  • number of axles is not less than six;
  • axle spacing of tandem or tri-dem axle is not less than 1,3 m (for the front tandem axle of a trailer it is permitted to be 1,15 m);
  • at least five axles except the steered axle of the towing vehicle have double wheels;
  • engine power is not less than 350 HP/257 kW (in case there is no information available about the engine power in the Register of Vehicles and Drivers, the carrier must for the purpose of the certificate submit statement issued by the manufacturer of the vehicle or his duly authorised representative).

Should the issued certificate be lost or damaged, it can be re-issued without the presentation of the vehicle at the roadworthiness testing station.
