Obtaining ADR certificate
In order to have ADR certificate issued the following supporting documents have to be submitted:
- statement issued by the manufacturer of the vehicle or his duly authorised representative certifying that the vehicle and its equipment had been manufactured in compliance with requirements of European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) concerning the respective type of ADR vehicle (EX/II, EX/III, FL, OX, AT or MEMU). The statement must contain all information necessary for drawing up the ADR Certificate. In case of EX/III vehicle, here must be the statement concerning the compliance of the load compartment with the requirements of ADR.
The ADR vehicle may have been type-approved pursuant to the regulations for vehicle certification;
- when applicable, valid inspection certificate issued by accredited inspection body for the respective dangerous equipment (e.g., tank, battery) and its suitability for the carriage of certain dangerous goods. Information about the accredited inspection bodies in Latvia is available here:
- statement on conformity with the requirements for lateral stability for tank-vehicles with fixed tanks with a capacity of more than 3 m3 intended for the carriage of dangerous goods in the liquid or molten state tested with a pressure of less than 4 bar in case the vehicle has been registered for the first time as from 1 July 2003, or in case the fixed tank had been replaced after that date.
The following documents are considered statements on conformity with the requirements for lateral stability:
- respective vehicle type-approval certificate;
- statement issued by the manufacturer of the vehicle;
- report issued by a technical service;
- lateral stability calculation issued by the vehicle manufacturer;
- passport of tank, which is the proof of registration of the dangerous equipment in the Register of dangerous equipment of Latvia.
