Receiving the permit
The special parking permit for people with disabilities can be obtained at all CSDD customer service centers.
The parking permit for people with disabilities is issued to:
- persons with disabilities who have movement and gait disorders and for whom the State Commission of Health and Work Capability Expert Doctors (VDEĀVK) has issued an opinion on medical indications for special adaptation of a passenger car and receiving an allowance to compensate for transport expenses;
- persons with group I visual disability;
- persons under the age of 18 (not included), who have been diagnosed with a disability and for whom the VDEĀVK has issued a statement on the need for special care.
Presenting an identity document (personal passport, identity card, driving license issued by the CSDD). A parking permit for people with disabilities can be obtained by:
- a person with a disability;
- the legal guardian (mother or father) of a minor with a disability;
- a person authorized in writing by a person with a disability. Notarization of the power of attorney is not mandatory;
- a guardian of a person with a disability, presenting a guardian's certificate or another document certifying guardianship;
- a guardian of a person with a disability, presenting a guardian's certificate.
In order to receive the parking permit for people with disabilities at the CSDD Customer Service Center, it is necessary to submit the following documents:
- any of the following documents certifying the person's disability:
- VDEĀVK statement on medical indications for special adaptation of a car and receipt of a benefit for reimbursement of transport expenses;
- VDEĀVK statement on the need for special care issued to persons under the age of 18 (not included);
- I disability group certificate and a document issued by VDEĀVK, which confirms that the person has a visual disability;
Important! If the CSDD receives information from the VDEĀVK regarding the above-mentioned documents in electronic form, it is not necessary to submit written documents to the CSDD customer service center in order to receive a card for the use of disabled parking spaces.
- one photo of a person (3 x 4 cm);
- a document certifying payment regarding the issue of a permit for the use of disabled parking spaces.
A parking permit for people with disabilities is issued, indicating the period of validity specified in the decision that entitles the person to receive the permit. If the date of the decision on the indications prescribed for a person exceeds 10 years, the permit will be issued for 10 year term.
If the disabled parking permit is damaged, lost, stolen or destroyed, a new permit shall be issued in its place. In such cases, all the above documents must be submitted. If you want to receive a new permit to replace the damaged one, you must hand in the damaged permit.
