Bicycle driving licence

General information

Individuals who have reached the age of 10 are allowed to participate in road traffic by bicycle independently. Children and young people aged between 10 and 17 years need a bicycle or any category of vehicle driving license for independent participation in road traffic by bicycle.

A cyclist's license can be obtained from the age of 10 by passing the road traffic regulations and traffic safety exam (test).

If you have obtained the right to drive a vehicle of a category, you can also drive a bicycle. In this case, the bicycle driver's license is not issued additionally. Persons who have reached the age of 18 do not need a driving license to ride a bicycle.
