Holder registration and deletion at a CSDD customer service centre

The registration of the holder can be performed in the CSDD customer service centre in the presence of the vehicle owner and holder (in case of change of holder - the holder to be re-designated) or their authorized persons (see section "Persons who can submit documents for vehicle registration to CSDD").

The owner of the vehicle and the registrant may also authorize one of the persons involved in the registration or another person to represent himself in the CSDD. The principal can make an authorization mark in any CSDD customer service centre or e-CSDD (for more details, see “Possibility to make an authorization mark in the CSDD customer service centre or e-CSDD”).

If the holder is registered for a vehicle which is the property of the leasing company and a note of the leasing company in the register has been made regarding the indication of the holder, the registration of the holder may be performed by any adult person without authorisation drawn up by the owner and the holder. For a list of finance lease companies entitled to file entries in the register, see: Companies entitled to file holder entries in the register.

Registration of the holder shall be carried out in the following order:

  • submit a vehicle registration certificate;
  • present the vehicle for comparison of unit numbers (for more details, see the section “Comparison of unit numbers”) if:
    • the vehicle is deregistered;
    • the vehicle registration certificate does not specify the VIN;
    • the holder shall be registered for a vehicle acquired in the ownership of the trading company by drawing up a title certificate, if the acquirer is the leasing company which has made a note in the register regarding the holder to be indicated, and at the time of registration the vehicle does not have a valid road worthiness inspection or temporary permit to participate in the vehicle in road traffic;
  • present the submitters passport or ID card. Driving licence issued by the CSDD may be presented if the Population Register contains information regarding the valid passport or ID card;
  • a copy of a document certifying the status of a legal person, presenting the original, if the holder of the vehicle is a legal person. A document need not be submitted if the legal person is registered in the Enterprise Register or its legal status is determined by law.
