Registration of the electronic pass (pass-through ticket)
This service (within the on-line system e-CSDD) ensures electronic receipt of passes (pass-through tickets) for vehicles that perform postal delivery or cash collection services.
Passes can be issued for vehicles that meet the following criteria:
- postal merchant vehicles used for the provision of postal services;
- vehicles of the Parliament (Saeima), the Chancellery of the State President, the State Chancellery, ministries, the Supreme Court and the General Prosecutor's Office (hereinafter collectively referred to as the institutions) used to deliver postal items;
- vehicles of internal security services of a security company or credit institution registered for the provision of collection security services in the security business register, provided that such vehicles are used for cash – collecting (hereinafter referred to as the cash collection vehicle).
Electronic passes (pass-through tickets) entitle its holder to the following:
- in respect to the vehicles of postal merchants and institutions, which deliver postal items, while performing the relevant task, to not comply with the stopping rules and parking rules for a period of up to 30 minutes;
- in respect to the vehicles with which cash-collection is carried out, while performing the relevant task, without observing the stopping rules and parking rules, as well as the road signs "No driving/entrance", "No driving/entrance for motor vehicles" and "No driving/entrance for trucks".
In order to issue the pass, the user must authorize himself to receive online e-CSDD services and fill out an online form indicating the vehicle for which the pass is to be issued.
The pass can be issued only for the vehicle specified in the application owned or held by the respective applicant (the person from whose online account at e-CSDD the pass was applied for/requested).
After filling out the application and paying for the service, an electronic confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address indicated within the e-CSDD system for the respective user (i.e., the applicant).
